Disaster Win at Baton Rouge, 6-5
The Baton Rouge Brass got a superb performance from center fielder Jorge Castillo, but the Port Royal Disaster still won the game, 6-5. Castillo was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Dean Cross got the win, improving to 2-2. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. Shawn Stevenson finished to wrap up his 3rd save.

In the top of the sixth, with Port Royal leading 3-2, designated hitter Bryant Dixon hit a bases-clearing triple. The hit came off Rainer Polonius and put the Disaster ahead, 6-2.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Dixon said.

The Disaster, now 7-13, have not found much traction so far in 2042.
