Plymouth Rocks starter Sanford Shades was in fine form against the Port Royal Disaster at Ballpark of Port Royal, leading his team to a 8-0 win. Plymouth is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 6th in 16 games.
It could have been a different outcome for Plymouth, had it not been for António Avery, the 29-year old shortstop . Avery contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put Plymouth up, 2-0.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Shades told the Plymouth Gazette.
