Farmers Turn Back Biloxi, 3-1

The Lancaster Farmers picked up a win at Farmers Field, knocking off the Biloxi Shuckers, 3-1. Starting pitcher Josuke Okumura played a key role in the triumph. The Farmers, now 6-1, have been on a roll in the early going.
A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Farmers sent 22-year-old center fielder Archie Pittman to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run, to put Lancaster on top, 2-1.
"We take it day by day here," said Okumura, "and today was a good one for us."
