The Virginia Beach Whales got a strong performance from pitcher Daryl Benstead, who stymied the Tacoma offense en route to a 6-2 win at Ballpark of Tacoma. The win gives Virginia Beach a record of 3-3.

Virginia Beach used the clutch hitting of Daniel MacKinder to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Whales the lead, 4-2. For the game, MacKinder had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"It feels good to get this one," Benstead told the Virginia Beach Times.
