Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Longnecks
|
The Bloomington Longnecks did just enough to sneak past the Bakersfield Nobles, 3-2, at Lookouts Ballpark. Bloomington pitcher Cheung Wuying earned player of the game honors. Bloomington reliever Hamilton Franklin got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Hikaru Yamaguchi was tagged with the loss. The win moves Bloomington to a record of 8-5.
Bloomington took a 3-2 lead on Dylan Stavely's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run came off Bakersfield pitcher Hikaru Yamaguchi in the bottom of the 11th.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Stavely told the Bloomington Observer.
