Whales Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
Virginia Beach Whales starter Mark Taylor turned in an exceptional performance against the Tacoma Fur Traders at Ballpark of Tacoma, resulting in a Virginia Beach win, 6-2. In 7 innings, Taylor surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. He allowed no runs. The Whales, with only their 1st win in 4 games, have not had much to write home about in 2042.

Dan Pike put Virginia Beach in front, 2-0, when he hit a solo home run off Pedro Montáñez in the top of the fourth. It was his 1st home run of the season.
