Nobles Lose, 5-2, at Ballpark of Port Royal
|
Port Royal withstood an impressive performance by Bakersfield third baseman César Enríques to defeat the Nobles, 5-2, at Ballpark of Port Royal. Enríques went 2-4 with 2 home runs. Chenor Njie finished to wrap up his 1st save. Losses have been few and far between for the Nobles so far this season. Their record drops to 6-2.
Port Royal took a 5-2 lead on Tomás Martí's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Bakersfield pitcher Raimo Kangas in the bottom of the eighth.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Martí, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
