The Bakersfield Nobles had to overcome a big game from Port Royal designated hitter Bryant Dixon to leave Ballpark of Port Royal with a 11-10 victory. Dixon went 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Bakersfield is off to a hot start at 6-1.

Bakersfield used the timely hitting of Jason Graham to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Nobles on top, 11-10. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Port Royal manager . "But we decided not to take it."
