Voodoo Stumble, Lose to Shredders
The Hollywood Shredders topped the New Orleans Voodoo by the score of 9-4, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman Richard Trevithick. Trevithick went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Shredders. Brantford Winstworth III got the win, improving to 4-1. He held the Voodoo to 4 earned runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 3. Hwa-pyung Yi recorded his 2nd save for Hollywood.

The Voodoo had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Shredders going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 37-year old left fielder Ramón Rodríguez came to the plate. Rodríguez hit a bases-clearing double on a 1-1 knuckleball from New Orleans hurler Rhys Maskell. It was Rodríguez's 8th double of the year.

"We'll savor this win," Trevithick told the Hollywood Bulletin, "then get ready for the next game."

The Shredders sit in third place in the Premier League with a record of 24-16.
