Disaster Get One-Run Win at Bloomington
|
Port Royal beat Bloomington on the strength of starter Dean Cross's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 2-1 win. Cross picked up the win for Port Royal, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. The win gives the Disaster a record of 2-4.
Port Royal used the bat of Michael Brannon to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Disaster ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Bloomington manager Curt Kenney. "The effort was great."
