Blues Win at Richland, 4-1

The Barton Springs Blues went home winners at Rails Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Brian Patterson. Patterson silenced the Richland Rails, enabling Barton Springs to grab the 4-1 win. Patterson went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-0. The loss drops Richland to 2-2.
The game was on the line with two out in the bottom of the eighth inning, but Danny Kas didn't flinch. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Richland trailing 3-1, Kas retired Josh Wiggins to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Kas, with a wink.
