Victory Over Reserves Takes Milton to 68-34
|
Milton right-hander Geoffrey Washington pitched his team to victory over the Athletic Club KC Reserves at KC Reserve Stadium. The final score was 4-3. Washington, now 2-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Sergio Tacuri, credited with the save, is now 33 for 34 in save opportunities.
Milton used a timely hit from Anthony Hollis to get the win. The shortstop delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the fourth inning to put the Dogfish Head on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Washington.
