Duffy Helps Pennsauken Cruise to 11-3 Win
|
The Pennsauken Flyers topped the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 11-3, with youngster Ethan Duffy playing a key role. Duffy went 3-4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Flyers in the win. Maks Rajnev got credit for the win, improving to 8-5. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 6.1 innings. The 7th-place Flyers now have a win-loss record of 45-49.
Pennsauken relied on the bat of Adam Wiltern to get the win. The designated hitter ripped a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Flyers ahead, 8-3. For the game, Wiltern had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Pennsauken skipper Tony Romero.
