The Milton Dogfish Head defeated the Nolensville Knights, 5-4, in M3L Triple A action at Milton Corner Tavern, with Milton pitcher Giovanni Mireles named player of the game. Neil Franson got the save, his 1st in 2 chances. Milton is now 63-30, 10½ games up in the Menard's AAA.
Rafael Riquelme swatted a 2-run home run for Milton in the bottom of the sixth. The third baseman went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 2.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Riquelme told reporters after the game.
