The Milton Dogfish Head dealt the Austin Black Mambas a 5-3 loss at Milton Corner Tavern. Ivano Pohvisnev was the star on offense. He went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Milton starter Nick Hayes was credited with the win after throwing 90 pitches over 5.1 innings. His record now stands at 7-1. Sergio Tacuri got the save, the 25th for him this season.

The Dogfish Head got a lift from third baseman Virgil Guldenmond who had a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the first inning off Mario Gonzáles. It was his 17th RBI of the season and put Milton in front, 1-0.
