Red Pandas Win in Extras

The Sioux Falls Red Pandas defeated the Nolensville Knights, 6-5, in M3L Triple A action at Ballpark of Alloway. Tim O'Neal received player of the game honors. The 12-year veteran went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The winner was Tim Sandaele in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Napoleon Vitagliano took the loss. Picking up the save was Júlio Rodríguez, his 1st.
Sioux Falls used the clutch hitting of Gene Ricks to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Red Pandas ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
"I felt good up there," said O'Neal. "I saw the ball well."
Nolensville now has a 5-game losing streak.
