Flyers Turn Back Nolensville, 4-2
|
Pennsauken third baseman Bras Castanheta was instrumental in his team's 4-2 win over the Nolensville Knights. Castanheta went 1-2 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Flyers. The winner was Pennsauken reliever Robert Karabanov, now 4-1. The loser was Ken French. With the win, Pennsauken has a record of 33-36. Nolensville falls to 35-34.
Making an impact for the home team was Obke Preesman. In the bottom of the fifth, the 25-year old right fielder had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 4-2, Flyers.
"I like what I saw today," said Pennsauken manager Tony Romero, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
