Black Mambas Slip Past Sioux Falls, 2-1

Austin Black Mambas starter Patrick Ibáñez turned in a top-notch performance against the Sioux Falls Red Pandas at Mamba Park. The result was a win for the Black Mambas, 2-1. Austin reliever Walton Gibbs picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Tim Sandaele absorbed the loss. Austin now has a 3-game win streak.
Austin took a 2-1 lead on Rutland Stones's 13th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Stones hit in the bottom of the ninth, left Sioux Falls pitcher Tim Sandaele visibly frustrated.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Stones told the Austin Chronicle.
