Black Mambas Bang Out 6-4 Win Versus Sioux Falls
The Austin Black Mambas picked up a win at Mamba Park, knocking off the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 6-4. Starting pitcher Harvey Wyles, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The save went to Silverberry Mouhon, his 15th this season. Austin occupies third place in the Menard's AAA at 30-22.

The Red Pandas had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Black Mambas going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old center fielder Kamakakoa Kaponianani came to the plate. Kaponianani hit a 2-run home run on a 1-0 changeup from Sioux Falls hurler NaNomi Lojore. It was Kaponianani's 3rd home run of the year.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Wyles told the Austin Chronicle. "Whatever it takes."
