Fighting Dachsunds Edge Sioux Falls in Pitching Duel
Ellenburg turned a good effort from starter Kini Grinter into a win over the Sioux Falls Red Pandas at Dog Park in Ellenburg. The final score was 1-0. The second-place Fighting Dachsunds now have a win-loss record of 24-14.

The Red Pandas had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Fighting Dachsunds going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old right fielder Javier Castro came to the plate. Castro hit a run-scoring double on a 1-1 fastball from Sioux Falls hurler Awad Mahmudnizhad. It was Castro's 8th double of the year.
