Hollywood got a terrific game from catcher Divine Diablo. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Charleston, 8-7. Diablo was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The save was Branlyn Jaraba's, his 5th. Charleston has run its win streak to 8 in a row.

Melvin Thomas hit a 2-run double off Larry Benítez in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Battery in front, 8-7. In addition to the double, Thomas had 2 singles, while going 3 for 5.

Thomas told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
