Lynx Double Up Sioux Falls, 6-3

Sioux Falls got a terrific performance from right fielder Rich Watkins, but it wasn't enough to beat the Calgary Lynx. Calgary won the Lynx Stadium contest, 6-3. Watkins was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winner was Will Kirby in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Ralph DePalma took the loss. Haweeyo Nasteexo got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
Tobias Valencia had a big 2-run single for the Lynx in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Calgary leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Nolan Bullock and stroked the single to left. It was his 16th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lynx ahead, 5-2.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Valencia. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
Calgary is now 11-23, Sioux Falls 20-14.
