Charleston second baseman Datu Lesaca was instrumental in his team's 9-2 win over the New Orleans Voodoo. Lesaca, who finished 2nd in the PL in runs with 73 in 2037, went 3-5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Battery. The losing streak for New Orleans has now reached 5 games.

Charleston used a timely hit from Melvin Thomas to get the win. The third baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the first inning to put the Battery on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Lesaca, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
