The Hollywood Shredders picked up a win at The Hollywood Bowl, knocking off the Portland Evergreens, 8-2. Starting pitcher Matthew Fallows, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Hollywood is 18-11 and Portland, with the loss, 16-13.

Jerry Yates helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring double. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Shredders.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Fallows. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
