Victory Over Fighting Dachsunds Takes Milton to 11-5
The Milton Dogfish Head got a stellar performance from pitcher Román Mejía, who handcuffed the Ellenburg offense en route to a 5-2 win at Milton Corner Tavern. Mejía went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 5, and struck out 3. His record improves to 2-1. Sergio Tacuri picked up the save, his 4th.

In the top of the eighth, Eric Manchester stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Fighting Dachsunds were trailing 5-2, but had the bases loaded. That's when De Dion-Bouton made a terrific pitch and Manchester lined out. Gone was the dream of a Ellenburg comeback.

At 11-5, the Dogfish Head have played well so far.
