Allen Helps Monsters Beat Black Mambas
|
The Monongahela Monsters downed the Austin Black Mambas, 9-0, at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Colt Allen led the way, going 2-for-3 for Monongahela. Earning his 1st save for Monongahela was Wesley Mason. Monongahela, at 5-1, is off to a blistering start.
The Monsters grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fourth. With one out, Hélio Capriati hit a 2-run home run off Harvey Wyles, putting Monongahela in front, 3-0. For Capriati, it was his 1st home run of the season.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Capriati told the Monongahela Times.
