Portland right-hander Jason Poulter made an effective start against the New Orleans Voodoo at Evergreen Park, leading his team to a 3-0 win. Earning his 6th save of the year was Joo-hyun Pak. Portland currently is in 6th place in the Premier League at 14-12.

Portland third baseman Tetsu Matsumoto contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a knuckleball into center field for a 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Evergreens ahead, 2-0.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Matsumoto told the Portland Citizen.
