Lakers Jolt Pandas with Late Rally
|
Starting pitcher Jordan Calhoun pitched well enough to help the Echo Park Lakers beat the Montana Pandas by the score of 10-5. Francisco Esposo closed it out for his 1st save. Today's win puts Echo Park at 22-13, while Montana falls to 13-22.
Echo Park used the timely hitting of Jonathan Winston to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Lakers on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Calhoun told the Echo Park Chronicle.
