The Charleston Battery topped the Cleveland Browns, 10-4, with designated hitter Benno Luby playing a big role. Luby was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 3 for the Battery in the win. Charleston starter Melvin Tiburcio was credited with the win after throwing 97 pitches over 8 innings. His record now stands at 2-1. The Battery now have a record of 10-15.

Mariano Juderías had a big 2-run single for the Battery in the bottom of the first inning. With Charleston leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from Juan Vias and stroked the single to left. It was his 23rd hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Battery ahead, 3-0.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Juderías.
