Multi-HR Day for Avino as Stingers Overpower Grey Wolves, 6-2
|
A 5-RBI performance from the fan favorite Baldomero Avino helped the Toledo Stingers beat the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 6-2. Toledo has a mark of 11-8 after the win.
With Toledo trailing 2-0 in the top of the third, Avino hit a fastball from Ángel Rosas for a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Stingers ahead, 3-2.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Toledo manager TJ Reynolds. "Our pregame was pretty good."
