Dodgers Get Past Nashville for 7-6 Win
|
Getting a good performance from second baseman Fa-hsien Tze, the Brooklyn Dodgers defeated the Nashville Outlaws, 7-6. Tze was 4-5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times for the Dodgers. José Sipe, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. Brooklyn, now 3-8, is off to a slow start.
The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Bill Chaundler came to bat in the bottom of the ninth. Facing Nashville pitcher Biff Pocoroba, he hit a 2-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Brooklyn on top, 7-6.
"It feels good, just a great win all around," Chaundler said after the game.
