The Nashville Outlaws beat the Oakland Oaks, 6-5 at Nashville Stadium, in part due to third baseman Shimei Miura, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Nashville reliever Bob Bolen was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Charlie Hilder took the loss. Mark Zaugg closed the door for Nashville, picking up his 2nd save of the year.

Nashville took the lead in the bottom of the seventh when Miura hit a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season made the score 6-5, Nashville.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Miura. "And not try to do too much."

With the loss, Oakland sinks to 1-2.
