Angel Kitties End Gabriel's Streak Tuesday, September 3rd, 2041 It was a doubly miserable day today for Ramón Gabriel of the Shady Side Zoomies, as he saw his 32-game hitting streak end and his team lose 2-1 to the Bethlehem Angel Kitties at Terriers Ballpark. The 18-year-old third baseman was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Angel Kitties. "Anyone on a 32-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Bethlehem manager Félix Cruz said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." So far this season Gabriel is batting .376 with 2 home runs, 35 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 120 hits in 319 at-bats, 6 walks and a .386 OBP. Gabriel has played in 72 games. |
