Gabriel's Hit Streak Reaches 30 Games Saturday, August 31st, 2041 Shady Side lost to the Watford City Trash Pandas 4-2 at Terriers Ballpark today, but Ramón Gabriel kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 3 hits. The Zoomies third baseman has now delivered hits in 30 straight games. "Ramón has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Shady Side manager Ricardo Sánchez told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Ramón Gabriel hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
