Super Swinger -- Li Slams 5 Hits Friday, August 9th, 2041 Bang-xao Li exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Beaver Town. The Northwest Territory third baseman had a field day in the 8-7 triumph over the Canonniers de Quebec, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Li must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Bang-xao Li singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season Li has banged out 99 hits in 302 at-bats for a .328 average with 8 home runs. He is getting on base at a .381 pace and his totals also include 51 RBIs and 52 runs scored.
