July's Pitcher of the Month Goes to Jiménez Thursday, August 1st, 2041 A standout performance in July earned José Jiménez the Pitcher of the Month Award in the M3L Rookie. When his name was penciled in to start by the Germantown skipper, it meant trouble for opposing teams. For the month the Uruguayans star racked up 5 wins and no losses. In 35.2 innings of work, Jiménez limited opposing batters to 21 base hits and a .172 batting average. He notched 37 strikeouts, issued 11 walks and had a 1.51 ERA. Checking out his stats for the season, Jiménez has registered 9 wins and 2 losses in 13 starts, 2.14 ERA and struck out 94 batters in 84 innings. |
