Star of the Week Named in SR Monday, May 13th, 2041 Surprise Shockers center fielder Miguel Lajara walked away with the USSL Rookie Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Shockers fans are really behind me right now," said the 19-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Lajara batted .500 (15-for-30) with no home runs and 2 RBIs this week on his way to the award. |
