Blackshaw Tosses Shutout for Capital Hill Monday, September 2nd, 2041 Before the game, Ron Blackshaw said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at The Igloo, the Interns pitcher whitewashed the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople 5-0. "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Blackshaw said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my fastball even when I was behind in the count." The Capital Hill starter held Ellesmere Island scoreless, giving up 3 hits while registering 8 strikeouts and issuing 2 walks. "We didn't have very many good at-bats," Snowpeople manager Rich Hunter said in his postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose." This year Blackshaw has a 3-0 record with a 2.28 ERA.
