Rhinos Pitching Ravaged by Espinoza Thursday, July 4th, 2041 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Shadow Espinoza, it came around today. The 21-year-old right fielder scattered hits all over The Zoo to pace the Memphis Music to a 17-7 victory over the Redwood Rhinos. Redwood skipper Frank Bass told reporters in the press room that "Espinoza deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Espinoza hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Shadow Espinoza hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run triple in the 8th. So far on the season Espinoza is hitting .375 with no home runs, 12 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 21 hits and played in 22 games. View Boxscore View Game Log |
