Mercer Island-Olympia Brawl, Nores and Zoido Suspended Wednesday, June 26th, 2041 After an intense confrontation, both the Screaming Eagles Dídac Nores and the Ogres Bruno Zoido were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Mercer Island-Olympia game. Dídac Nores will miss 5 games, while Bruno Zoido was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Dídac Nores commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Nores is presently batting .307 with no home runs, 10 runs scored and 9 RBIs. His OBP is .386. On his stats sheet for the year Zoido shows a 1-3 record, 8 starts, 47.2 innings, 32 strikeouts and a 4.34 ERA. |
