Screaming Eagles SP Owens Out Wednesday, September 25th, 2041 Mercer Island starting pitcher Nolan Owens suffered a season-ending injury throwing a pitch in today's game against the Krewe. According to club doctors Owens has a damaged elbow ligament. Although Owens has declined to comment, sources close to the player have stated that he is "devastated" that he will miss the playoffs. Looking at his season stats, Owens has won 8 and lost 6, collecting 101 strikeouts and 40 walks in 112.2 innings with a 3.91 ERA. |
