Playoff Bound: Krewe Win Wild Card Saturday, September 21st, 2041 For the Crescent City Krewe, it's not how you start, but how you finish. That's the mantra the team is following after today qualifying for the playoffs. "We may be going into the playoffs as a wild card team, but we plan to finish the playoffs as champions," said starting pitcher Willard Kanjuchi. "There's no shortage of confidence from guys in our clubhouse." With a record of 61-43, there will of course be teams with better track records in the postseason. But team manager Kelly Flint said his club has "infinite optimism" that they can win the franchise's 3rd USPL Double A championship. |
