Playoff Bound: Screaming Eagles Win Wild Card Friday, September 20th, 2041 The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles clubhouse was filled with loud music and revelry late into the night, as the team celebrated a USPL Double A wild card position. The team, whose record stands at 60-42, battled throughout the year, but ultimately saw the quest for the playoffs come down to the season's final games. "I'd be lying if I said we knew we were going to make it," said reliever Ryan Fry. "We did have confidence, but in the back of your mind you always wonder what's going to happen. There were some good teams pushing us." Now the Screaming Eagles don't have to worry, as they are in position to potentially win the 12th USPL Double A championship in franchise history. |
