League Suspends Smith and Bennett for Fisticuffs Thursday, July 25th, 2041 Jeffery Smith of the Olympia Ogres and Mike Bennett of the Virginia Palladium Sox received notification from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended for 4 and 9 games respectively for their part in the on-field ruckus in a recent game at The Ogre Den. Currently Smith is batting .232 with 1 home run and 16 RBIs. This year Bennett has recorded a 5-5 mark. In 14 starts he has fanned 78 batters in 87.2 innings with a 4.31 ERA. |
