USPL Double A Names Porter Best Batter Monday, July 8th, 2041 23-year-old Albert Porter made a few Chesapeake headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USPL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 9 hits in 19 at-bats to put up a .474 average. Porter collected 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. This season in 41 games Porter is batting .267 with 5 home runs, 14 RBIs and has scored 16 times. |
