SAA Premier Pitcher is Virginia Beach's Park Thursday, August 1st, 2041 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Mike Park, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Virginia Beach Whales reliever, 24, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .200 average and walked away with the USSL Double A Pitcher of the Month award for July. Park posted a 2-0 mark and a 0.00 ERA in 12 relief appearances. In 13 innings, he had 7 saves, 10 strikeouts, and 6 walks. To this point in the season he has had 17 saves. Park has made 32 relief appearances, tossed 37 innings and struck out 27 with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss. |
