Sonics Chill Fernández's Hot Streak Thursday, July 25th, 2041 Félix Fernández's 21-game hitting streak has now come and gone. It was snapped today as the Casper Ghosts suffered a 11-2 setback against the Atlantic City Sonics. Fernández went without a hit in 4 trips to the plate. He was visibly upset during a postgame press conference, but it appeared that the streak had little to do with it. "The hitting streak was one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep about it tonight," he said. "On the other hand, I am going to lose sleep about dropping this game today." So far this year in 53 games Fernández is hitting .341 with 12 home runs, 52 RBIs and 41 runs scored. |
