Crites Hot, Pilgrims Cold
Monday, June 24th, 2041
The Minnesota Loons shut out the Providence Pilgrims 1-0 today behind the strong pitching of Lou Crites. Crites surrendered only 4 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 4.

Following the last out, Crites appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Providence manager Micheal Garren, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken left-hander as the clubs left the field. Crites's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart.

The Pilgrims skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the Loons press conference, Crites confirmed that it was regarding the celebration.

"He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Crites said.

"And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Minnesota manager Rafael Clemente added.

In 9 starts this year Crites has crafted a 1-4 record and a 4.12 ERA.
