Newman Pitches Barton Springs to Shutout Win Tuesday, May 7th, 2041 Dave Newman kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Barton Springs Blues were all smiles after winning 5-0 against the Richland Rails at Rails Ballpark today. The right-handed Newman gave up no runs in his start, permitted 2 hits and had 2 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Newman said later.
