He may only be 24, but Tomás Alfonso of the Marquette Miners has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the M3L Double A.

The reliever was today named the 3AA Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2041.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 2 saves in 29 relief appearances and 89 strikeouts in 58 innings. He had a record of 8-1 to go with his 1.86 ERA.

He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 12. Joel Baxter of the Squirrel Hill Pierogis finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Bungay Osiman of the Barton Springs Blues finished third.
